A fantastic competition that lasted six hours saw the Crazy 8's taking the trophy from the Spring league's winner, Suncé Winery.
The final match went back and forth as the 8's won the first 12-2. Suncé came back with a 12-0 victory. And, the final game was a nail-biter all the way as the 8's won it 12-9. A crowd of about thirty people stayed to watch the final match.

The entire afternoon was rife with drama as teams fought fiercely. Everyone made some amazing shots and the games turned around
again and again. A team would get skunked and come back to crush their next opponent.
Heat was definitely a factor, and anyone who says "bocce is not a sport" should play for four or five hours and note the impact on one's concentration and ability. The food and wine was well presented and appreciated. Santa Rosa is learning fast.
