AUGUST 9 - PLAY BEGINS on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Juilliard Park for a 10 week season! We'll also have a DOUBLES Tournament on Saturday, Sept 11 at 2:00 pm; and a SINGLE PLAYER Tournament on Saturday, Sept 25 at 2:00 pm.
PLAYER and TEAM Applications can be downloaded below.

Because we need at least four teams per night, because we prefer an even number of teams for each night and because we're limiting ourselves to a maximum of eight teams per night - if need be, WE WILL BE HAVING A LOTTERY!

Here's some important DEADLINES (and no whining allowed)

SATURDAY - July 24 at 2:00 pm The DRAWING for Team Slots
Place: Juilliard Park Bocce Courts
(Note: If your check hasn't been received, you better show up.)

$200 DEPOSIT reserves your chance to apply for the night you want to play. Please pick your 2nd and 3rd choice as well.

CURRENT PLAYERS: PAY YOUR CAPTAIN! Give them your application, or sign their Team Application. They will turn in the paperwork, cash and checks made out to "Santa Rosa Bocce League." They will follow-up with the balance of Fees, and paperwork. It's a much more efficient process. It's the way most other Cities do it.

NEW PLAYERS: Please attend a FREE workshop on Sunday, July 18 or Saturday, July 3 at 1:00 pm. Bring or send in your Application and fees. We'll do our best to place you on a team or create a new team. If you can be a Captain or Co-captain that would be great.

COST is $25 per Adult - $15 under age 16. There are NO REFUNDS (unless you’re not satisfied with our scheduling decisions; and you let us know prior to the start of Play)!

MONDAY AUGUST 23rd FINAL Team Applications with Player Signatures and Fees. (This is two weeks after the start of Play).

Some additional Guidelines:
1. First SIX teams per night are confirmed, #7 and #8 are "tentative"

"Tentative" means that unless we get FOUR teams on all three nights, that team will be asked to take a slot on another evening.

2. "Grandfathering" - Teams that have previously played get precedence over a new team.

For example: On July 24 at 2:00 pm - Tuesday night has five teams wanting to join, and one is New. Then, everyone gets in (since it's under six teams).
If Tuesday has seven teams vying, then the Newbie is automatically Team 7 and would be "tentative" for Tuesday until FOUR Teams have been assigned to all of the other available nights.

3. At least one "New" team will be attempted for each night. If there are less than eight Teams on a night, the LEAGUE will attempt to place new persons together to form a Team. If an existing team needs more players, they will get them first.

4. Philosophically, Six Teams of Ten people are more fun than Four Teams of Fifteen.

5. If we have more than EIGHT Teams wanting the same night, the drawing will be held.

6. VOLUNTEERS! We ask that each team donate FOUR hours to the League. This could be helping improve the courts, scoring at Tournaments, etc. If you didn't contribute last season, you will need to make up some time.

Santa Rosa Bocce League is Co-Sponsored by the City of Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks Dept.
Concept drawings for a Bocce Pavilion in the "Place to Play" Park. Yes, we'll add lights, canopies for shade, misters, umbrellas, sprinklers for the courts, an office...
We are talking with City Staff and will likely make a presentation to the Board of Community Services. This Plan would require expanding the current Site Plan which includes space for five courts, as opposed to 16 as in this Proposal.

Martinez has 31 courts. St. Helena has nine courts and some ninety teams. Both have much less population.
